Ngili Safaris Africa General Conditions
1. Ngili Safaris Africa is based in the Northern Cape of South Africa which is a 60-minute drive from Kimberley airport. We also hunt in other Provinces of South Africa as well as the following African Countries: Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia and Namibia (In Association with registered African Outfitters).
2. All animals are subject to availability.
3. All prices are subject to the year in which the safari takes place and possible changes in price may occur without prior notice.
4. The day you are picked up in Kimberley and the day you are returned to Kimberley are counted as safari days and full daily rates apply.
5. Quills, feathers, artefacts, rocks, twigs, seeds etc. are biologically, historically and ecologically important to the environment and some are protected under South African heritage laws. There is a charge for any items which are allowed to be taken. Fossils, etchings and some other items are by law not allowed to be taken. Remember that ALL items are subject to export permits.
6. Our safaris range between 7-21 days. You can be assured that you will return home with special memories and high quality trophies. In addition to this we can tailor make your Safari to suit your specific needs. Our experienced Professional Hunters will be guiding you to a successful African hunt.
7. All dipping, packing, transportation and shipping of trophies are the client’s responsibility after the safari. We regret that we cannot be held responsible for trophies once they have been delivered and signed over to the taxidermist. All reasonable precautions are taken to ensure the quality and care of trophies.
8. No refunds are made for late arrivals or early departures.
9. Trophy fees are payable at completion of safari. Wounded and/or lost animals must be paid for in full.
10. Ngili Safaris Africa accepts no responsibility for any illness, accident, claim or loss of whatsoever nature, arising during and/or after the safari. Clients are advised to take out their own medical insurance.
11. Any additional touring/activity/hotel accommodation, before, during and after the safari is not included but can be arranged through Ngili Safaris Africa.
12. Park fees, Gate fees and Levies are not included.
13. Vehicles are maintained in the highest mechanical order and we regret that we cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen breakdown which may occur.
14. Daily rates include:
*Kimberley airport pick up and return, transportation while hunting, services of a Professional Hunter, trackers, skinners, ranch safari staff, accommodation, laundry, meals, alcohol and beverages in moderation (Some alcohol and specialty foods are subject to availability and additional costs. Please inquire with special requests in advance).
* Preferred payment options: Cash (USD), VISA, MASTERCARD, Bank transfers or PayPal. Traveller’s checks, or cash in other currencies are the least preferable methods of payment
* Foreign bank transfer fees: Use of your credit card overseas and currency conversion fees are the client’s responsibility.
15. Any animal or bird wounded and lost at the time your safari ends or shot and NOT exported from South Africa is subject to VAT, Value Added Tax of 14 % added onto the trophy/cull fee. (This is South African law). For any animal not exported out of South Africa, the 14 % VAT tax must be charged onto the animal’s fees, and onto any trophy’s fees. Exporting even just one part or some of the animals you hunt will mean no VAT tax needs to be charged.
16. Meat is not included in the animal’s price. Meat may not be exported from the country of South Africa.
Booking your safari:
A) A contract will be emailed for all individuals on the safari which needs to be completed and signed.
B) A 50 % deposit of your total daily rate confirms this booking. The balance of your amount is payable 30 days in advance of your safari.
C) This contract must be emailed back to Ngili Safaris Africa with your proof of payment attached.
D) Proof of payment for your air tickets is required. Air tickets must be booked 3- 4 months before your safari date, and sent to Ngili Safaris Africa.
No monies are refundable, but all monies paid will remain a credit on a safari. The prices of the year in which the safari takes place are credited and can be transferable to other hunters who take over a cancelled hunt.
17. Special conditions apply to children under 12 years of age.
18. Death – In the case of a safari member’s death prior to the booked safari date, where payment has been paid to Ngili Safaris Africa, the full amount (other than a $1000 booking fee) will be refunded.
19. Illness – In the case of members of the safari having serious illness, hospitalization of a serious nature, or a death in the safari member’s immediate family, there would be the forfeiture of a $1000 booking fee to change the safari date. If complete cancellation occurs, 50% of the total safari payments made will be refunded. Proof of the circumstances must be submitted to Ngili Safaris Africa before refunds are paid. For any other cancellation, other than death or serious illness, no monies will be refunded.
20. Date Changes & Cancellations
No monies paid are refundable, except under the following conditions:
* In case of date changes for reasons other than death or serious illness above, 25% of the whole quoted safari cost will be added to change a booked date.
* Ngili Safaris Africa and their representatives are not responsible for finding alternative hunters for booked hunts.
